How to Fix Packet Loss

Fixing packet loss is usually a process of isolating where packets are being dropped: device, Wi-Fi, router, ISP, VPN, or remote service.

Run the packet loss test

Start close to your device

Switch from Wi-Fi to Ethernet, restart your router, check cables, pause downloads, and test again with the same settings.

Compare network paths

Try without VPN, test on a mobile hotspot, and compare multiple server regions. If every device shows loss, your ISP or local network gear may be the cause.
